Information about Iznajar and surrounding areas:
Finca Brigadoon is located about 10 minutes drive from the town of Iznajar in the province of Cordoba.
The town of Iznajar is situated high up on what is called the Lake of Andalucia with its ancient castle, churches, quaint shops, bars, restaurants and banks. Due to open soon is the new sports centre.
Iznajar has a “beach” on the lake where you can swim, fish, windsurf, sail and hire pedaloes. There is a beachside bar and excellent restaurant with plenty of local dishes.
There are excellent shopping facilities in larger towns of Lucena and Antequera, both 45 minutes drive and Malaga 1 hour.
Sports in the area include horse riding, 18 hole golf course in Antequera. Skiing in the Sierra Nevada best months between December and April. There is also plenty of walks and bird watching.
Historic cities of Cordoba and Sevilla are less than 2 hours drive and Granada with its famous Alhambra Palaces and Gardens 1 hour and 15 minutes drive away. The Sierra Nevada Ski resort is another 20 minutes.
Airports and train:
Airports Granada and Malaga are about 1 hour drive. Train stations Antequera is about 45 minutes and Loja about 30 minutes.
